Exclusive: Sky News Australia reveals Moira Deeming speech that saw her avoid expulsion from Victorian Liberal Party on Monday
Ms Deeming was handed a nine-month suspension over her involvement with a Let Women speak eventOpposition leader John Pesutto backflipped on his earlier pledge to expel Ms Deeming, instead proposing the suspension after she provided new information which he said contained “important concessions”.
Ms Deeming has since strongly condemned the types of conduct within the dossier, which was another factor in Mr Pesutto's change of heart. “I want to remind you all that being accused of Nazism, in any degree, by the Liberal Party Parliamentary Team of Victoria is going to have heinous consequences for my life, the lives of my husband and our four children.”
“My husband and I have already begun to receive hate mail from people who’ve read those accusations, and now believe that we are white supremacists,” she said.
