Both have long feared Amtrak service would disrupt their freight moving business in and around downtown mobile.Amtrak went before the board, asking for a variance that would allow them to erect a temporary passenger platform in downtown Mobile, which has been one of the big holdups for returning service between here and New Orleans.Jane Covington, a CSX representative, went first:
