The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has extended the theatrical run for all official entries until January 14 in select cinemas due to popular demand. MMDA chairman Romando Artes expressed gratitude for the ongoing support for the festival’s 50th edition.

Lawyer Romando Artes, the chief of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the overall chairman of the MMFF, expressed his gratitude for the ongoing support from moviegoers for the festival’s 50th edition.“We are overwhelmed by the continued support of the public for this year’s festival. Due to popular demand, we have decided to extend the theatrical exhibition of MMFF films to further highlight the impressive and artistically excellent locally produced films,” said Artes.
Proceeds from the MMFF benefit various organizations within the film industry, including the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation , the Film Academy of the Philippines, the Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council, the Optical Media Board, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines .
