MMEA suspends search for MT Pablo’s missing crew
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency says rescuers entered the stricken MT Pablo oil tanker but found no trace of the three missing crew members. – Facebook pic, May 6, 2023.
Johor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency director First Admiral Nurul Hizam Zakaria said the operation, which entered its fifth day, was called off at 7pm on May 5. “Based on the vessel’s safety assessment, the Johor Bahru Maritime Rescue Sub Centre has postponed the search operation until new leads are found,” he said in a statement today.
