PONTIAN: Two men have been arrested by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) for allegedly trying to distribute drugs at Tanjung Piai, here.
Johor Maritime director First Admiral Maritime Nurul Hizam Zakaria said the duo, aged 30 and 32, were arrested with 3kg of compressed chunks of crystal believed to be syabu worth RM100,000.
"The suspects were arrested at Sungai Belukang, Tanjung Piai, at 2am on Sunday along with three packages weighing 1kg each believed to be drugs. "The duo also confessed they had driven from Kuala Lumpur to Tanjung Piai to distribute the drugs," he said in a statement here.The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act for drug trafficking.
