Nine days before the Miss Universe 2022 coronation night, Latvia's candidate Kate Alexeeva withdrew from the pageant due to COVID-19 complications.On Jan. 5, the beauty queen took to Instagram to announce that she is revoking her participation in this year’s competition.Shortly before the New Year I got diagnosed with Covid. Complications followed.
