Ministry to monitor eateries under Menu Rahmah in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: The Domestic Trade and Living Costs Ministry will constantly monitor restaurants and eateries involved in the Menu Rahmah programme in the state.

Its Sabah director Georgie Abas said this was to ensure dishes provided by the establishments met the programme's criteria in terms of price, quantity and quality.

“ welcomed by restaurants in Sabah where there were several restaurants that implemented Menu Rahmah as soon as they heard about the launch in Peninsular Malaysia,” he said. “Although there is no financial assistance or subsidy from the government to restaurant operators or traders for this programme, the ministry is nonetheless ready to help.

He added that an announcement poster complete with a QR code for restaurant registration was also available on the ministry's Facebook page.
