Mikee Quintos Clarifies Landscaping Project Was Not Her Thesis
Mikee Quintos, Your Honor, College Thesis

Actress Mikee Quintos clarified that a landscaping-class group project was not her college thesis, which is completed individually. She explained that public scrutiny and negative comments motivated her to finish school despite balancing acting work and classes. She also detailed her thesis survey at GMA Network Center, which gathered feedback about lighting, sidewalks, and traffic.

On the latest episode of" Your Honor," the Sparkle star said that it was group work for their landscaping class and not their thesis, which is done individually.

"My groupmate in school said I don't help out in group work, and then it blew up because the public thought it was a thesis," the actress said in Filipino. Mikee Quintos reveals she confronted Sassa Gurl for making content on her thesis issue The actress said that during her 10-year college journey, she went back and forth thinking whether she still wanted to go to school or not.

Mikee said that she wanted to quit school several times before and fought with her parents about it for months. She eventually got the break that she wanted and stopped school for two semesters.

"That was when it hit me," she said. "I felt ashamed of myself in front of my parents. Because I was already working, I know how hard it is to make money.

""I think the hate needed to happen to me for me to realize that," she said. "If they didn't receive hate, if it didn't blow up, I feel like I wouldn't finish . ""Sometimes, from the set, I'd go to class. If there's a long waiting time, I would insert class," she said.

She said she had to attend a class in her character's makeup once because she didn't want to fail due to absences.

"It was OK at first, but when my character became a goat, I went to school in my goat makeup! " she said. "It was my first show, and there's no showbiz person in my family, I didn't know if I'd get a career after, so it doesn't make sense to shift or quit school," she added. Prior to that, Mikee conducted a survey in GMA Network Center for her thesis.

She placed boards around the compound with a QR code for GMA employees and visitors to scan. The QR code led to a short survey about issues and improvements in the area, such as lighting, sidewalks, and traffic.
