Iconic heavyweight champion Mike Tyson admitted on Tuesday that he is somewhat afraid of his fight with boxer Jake Paul, which is scheduled for July 20.
, which ended in a draw after eight rounds. Tyson, 57, explained he has a “weird” personality, in which whatever he is afraid to do, he seeks to accomplish, hence the fight with Paul.
“I was afraid for the Roy fight, I was scared of fighting, I was a hundred pounds overweight, I was however old, 54, 53, and I said, ‘Let’s do it,'” Tyson said on Fox News’s. “Anything I’m afraid of, I confront it, and that’s my personality. Like right now, I’m scared to death, but as the fight gets closer, the less nervous I become because it’s reality, and in reality, I’m invincible.”, arguing that adversity and nervousness had driven him to success.
