Despite calls from some to launch a Liberal leadership bid, Mike Schreiner is opting to stay on as leader of Ontario’s Green Party.
“I’ve taken time to listen and consult my constituents in Guelph and people across Ontario to talk about a better way forward,” he said Tuesday. “I want to thank the 40 Liberals who had the courage to take the unprecedented step of writing me a letter encouraging me to run for [Ontario Liberal Party] leader, opening a conversation about how progressive parties might work differently.”
