Johnston isn’t trying to find out what Prime Minister Justin Trudeau knew and when and what he did about it

But the questions Chong posed are valid and need answering. Johnston is not going to go anywhere near such questions. In a forceful speech denouncing Johnston’s appointment, Bloc MP Alain Therrien, said, “Mr. Johnston is talking about protecting democracy but he has no respect for democracy. I think, unfortunately, this nomination is a case of bad casting. He needs to step aside for the good of everyone.”It was a short and dignified answer. But a better response would have been to agree to step down.
