THE Metrobank Foundation (MBFI) and alumni networks of Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos returned to Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan, Palawan, for the second leg of the Guro, Pulis, Sundalo na may Galing, Puso, at Sigasig (GPS²) outreach program on Nov. 15-16, 2024.
THE Metrobank Foundation and alumni networks of Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos returned to Pag-asa Island , Kalayaan, Palawan, for the second leg of the Guro, Pulis, Sundalo na may Galing, Puso, at Sigasig outreach program on Nov. 15-16, 2024.The initiative benefited over 345 residents, including 15 teachers, 107 students, and 125 military and uniformed personnel.This multisectoral effort addressed educational, health and community needs.
Regina and Randy Alampay, technology training for teachers by 2016 awardee Winona Diola and Jay Diola, and self-defense training and sports clinics for students by Topsoldiers in partnership with Rotary Clubs.The program provided PE uniforms, sports equipment and books for Pag-asa Integrated School.Health care services included consultations led by Dr. Gil Vicente, oral hygiene sessions and first aid training.
