In recent months they have gotten dozens of reports of such thefts on the Northeast Avalon with a number of arrests and seizures stemming from the incidents.
In the majority of cases, perpetrators located a key or fob inside the vehicle, or at an unsecured location nearby. RNC caution against leaving keys or fobs inside the vehicle, and don’t leave handbags and wallets in plain view. They’re asking people to always lock their vehicle and residence, and to report any suspicious activity.
