Metric and July Talk are heading out on the road together for what promises to be one of the season’s top tours

“There’s this little musical family come together now of people who have been in the same circles for some time and we couldn’t be more excited about it. July Talk brings the ‘A’ game every time and we do, too, so that can only be good for fans.” “Every single record we’ve made I’ve ignored the guitar because I’m producing the rest of the record and with him there, I could forget about the tuning of the snare, the questionable second verse or the bass part and just focus on the guitar. We wanted to return to the rock band Metric, not the band of Cascades and Synthetica, and I needed to be able to play guitar to do that.”

“Seven albums on, putting together a setlist is hard sometimes, and you can fall into one that works that you’ll play over the tour,” said Shaw. “But for this last tour, we promised ourselves never to play the same set twice and we’re carrying that over to Canada I expect. It’s changing it up to keep it lively and, frankly, really exciting to us every night when we hit the stage.”
