Met Eireann have predicted that temperatures are set to hit 27C this week as Ireland basks in an Indian summer.
However, thunderstorms are brewing as we look towards the weekend, so bring the raincoat just in case.We're set for a glorious couple of days following that before Mother Nature bites back on Thursday."Mist and fog will gradually clear through this morning but it will remain generally cloudy over the northern half of the country today with scattered patches of light rain and drizzle affecting Connacht and Ulster.
"Further south it will be mostly dry with sunny spells, though fog will linger along southern coasts. Warm with highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees, warmest in the south midlands, in a light southerly or variable breeze.""Tomorrow morning will be quite misty or foggy to start but mist and fog will gradually clear to leave a dry and very warm day with long spells of sunshine. However, fog will linger along some coasts through the day.
