Met Eireann has issued two separate weather warnings as heavy rain and strong winds are set to hit parts of the country.Three counties are affected by the weather alerts, which are already in place.A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Clare and Kerry.
In today's general weather forecast, Met Eireann says there could be hail showers and thunderstorms today. "There will also be isolated hail showers and thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh and gusty southerly to westerly winds generally, but strong at times in the west and southwest. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.""Widespread showers will continue early tonight, with hail and thunder possible. Some showers will be heavy and prolonged and may cause spot flooding.
