Australia needs “more young people” interested in psychology and psychiatry as a mental health crisis is “on the rise” due to cost-of-living pressures and COVID-19, says Shadow Assistant Minister for Mental Health Melissa McIntosh.

“We had a long COVID inquiry, the very first of its kind in this country, as part of our parliamentary committee on health, and we found overwhelmingly that
