MELAKA: Melaka is the most politically stable state in the country, says the new Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh ."We would not have secured a thumping victory in the state election in November 2021 if the political landscape was shaky," Ab Rauf said during a press conference after he was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister at the office of Yang di-Pertua Tun Dr Mohd Ali Rustam on Friday .

He also thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for entrusting him to helm the state.Asked if he would be appointing any of the four DAP assemblymen in his line-up, Ab Rauf said he had yet to get an indication of the matter .
