A former ABC veteran is penning the Woodside CEO’s speeches as the company wages war on the broadcaster; Mumbrella loses its third editor in a year.

The public broadcaster is the subject of a formal complaint from Woodside, lodged on Friday. Woodside and O’Neill want to know why an ABC camera crew was with protesters from the Disrupt Burrup Hub group at a protest at her home, and suggest it could be a breach of the broadcaster’s code of conduct.
“I’m going to use a bit of reference materials here to make sure that I stay on message and manage the emotions,” she said, adding that the ordeal had left her “shaken, fearful and distressed”.While it’s understood those comments were prepared by Woodside’s communications team, it must be uncomfortable for, the highly respected ABC veteran who spent 16 years with the public broadcaster including at its parliamentary bureau.
“What happened in my home on Tuesday is an unacceptable escalation in activity by an extremist group which has absolutely no interest in engaging in respectful and constructive debate around Woodside’s role in the transition towards a lower carbon world,” O’Neill said in her speech.
