Maddie Thoma Registered Occupational Therapist; Psychotherapist Elliot Lake Site Maddie (she/her) is a Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) credentialed by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT).
Maddie is a Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist credentialed by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy . Maddie has advanced intensive training and supervision in dialectical behavioural therapy , prolonged exposure therapy, and EMDR. Other therapeutic modalities Maddie utilizes include: internal family systems ,"inner child" work, and compassion focused therapy . Maddie is skilled and experienced in treating clients from early teens to older adults.
Maddie has knowledge and experience working with Indigenous persons - particularly in the context of: intergenerational trauma, residential schools, and other forms of trauma. She has extensive experience treating PTSD, sexual assault and sexual abuse, and all other forms of abuse and trauma. Additionally, Maddie works regularly with individuals who experience symptoms of: Grief/Complex Grief, trauma, PTSD/CPTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and mood disorders.
