Centre for Industrial Progress President Alex Epstein says media platforms tend to run into problems when providing a “free speech platform”.
“You can’t just say anyone can say anything at any time … as Elon discovered after not thinking it through at all before saying ‘I just want a free speech platform’,” Mr Epstein told Sky News host Pita Panahi.“You need to think it through, but you really have to favour the open exchange of ideas.
“As soon as you have something like ‘I prohibit a certain viewpoint from being expressed’, that is very very dangerous.”
