McMaster student charged with arson after reportedly setting fire to residence building

"On scene, police and partners located the unit on fire, which was extinguished, and no injuries were suffered," read a media release from police.

The school said some smoke and water damage caused students from three nearby rooms to be relocated to other residences. The school said eight students were impacted. "We are grateful for the quick response by McMaster Security Services, Hamilton fire and police and will help in whatever way we can in the investigation."
