Mayoral candidate Mark Sutcliffe has been criticized for holding a fundraising event at a private home during which he invited attendees to donate the maximum of $1,200. Sutcliffe has defended the event as a legal and normal fundraising event.Article content “People should have confidence that the mayor is acting in the best interests of everyone,” said McKenney. “When we put residents first, we can build a city hall that works for everyone — not for corporate interests.”
