McDonald's says pest control have carried out checks and are continuing to monitor the situation.
A McDonald's restaurant in East Sussex was forced to shut after a customer brought in live insects to feed a pet snake.
The customer brought the insects and a snake into the fast-food chain in Drove Retail Park, Newhaven on Friday. McDonald's said: "As soon as we were made aware, we closed the restaurant and asked the customer to leave." A spokesperson said the restaurant re-opened later that evening after a "thorough clean" was carried out.
"Pest control experts have attended the restaurant to carry out precautionary checks and will continue to monitor," they added.
