THUNDER BAY – Krista McCarville and her teammates have dug an early hole at the Scotties Tournament of hearts.
McCarville, who trailed 1-0 after two, evened things up in the third and stole single in the fourth and fifth to take a two-shot lead. McCarville, lead Sarah Potts, second Kendra Lilly, third Andrea Kelly and fifth Ashley Sippala, dropped to sixth place in the Pool A standings.
