France have advanced to the World Cup Final after defeating Morocco 2-0 but many were left talking about the moment Kylian Mbappe sent a ball rocketing into a fan's face.
A soccer fan has been left with a bleeding nose after Kylian Mbappe fired a ball into the crowd moments before France took on Morocco to qualify for its second consecutive World Cup Final.
Kylian Mbappe immediately apologised to a fan who was hit by a stray ball during the warm up. Picture: Julian Finney/Getty Images American journalist Jenny Taft spoke to the injured fan, who said he hoped to get Mbappe’s jersey after the match. “Mbappe went to apologise to this fan after hitting him with a ball in the warmup. What surprised me is that everyone is happy to see Mbappe this close while their friend is dying on their hands,” another spectator tweeted.
France’s Theo Hernandez opened the scoring in the fifth minute and despite having less possession and only one more shot at goal they were able to score again in the 79th minute through Randal Kolo Muani.
