“It is paramount for the city to engage with youth and ensure they are provided with meaningful opportunities to contribute to our community,” said Mayor Matthew Shoemaker. To serve on the council, you must be between the ages of 14 to 24 and reside in/enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary school in Sault Ste. Marie. Applicants under the age of 18 will need the consent of a parent or guardian to apply.
