Maybank Services Undergoing Unannounced Maintenance
while trying to log onto either platform or even use their bank physical cards since around 2:50pm today.
Meanwhile, those who’ve successfully logged in to Maybank2u or the MAE app note that their bank balances are not reflected correctly, whereas any attempts at refreshing their accounts by revalidating their identity through biometrics or pin code will result in varying error messages. These prompts range from “Unable to connect to servers”, “Unable to retrieve customer information”, or simply “Something’s wrong”.
As mentioned earlier, this ongoing disruption are also affecting the use of Maybank’s physical cards, with many users complaining that they are unable to conduct payments with their debit/credit cards. Apart from that, attempting transfer funds through any of the bank’s services are reported to be inaccessible as well.
Maybank has yet to publicly announce the disruption, let alone state the cause. However, at the time of writing, it appears that the bank is in the midst of fixing the issue as both its and MAE app now informs users of an ongoing maintenance.
