Maxis says yes to 5G access deal with DNB

MAXIS today agreed to sign the 5G access agreement with Digital Nasional Bhd , said Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil.He said this agreement was reached after several meetings following the cabinet’s decision on May 3 to switch the 5G model to a dual network one once the current rollout under DNB has covered 80% of populated areas.
Fahmi earlier said CelcomDigi, Telekom Malaysia, U-Mobile and YTL Communications would finalise their shareholding process in DNB and support the development of the 5G network until it covers 80% of populated areas by year-end. . – Bernama, August 14, 2023.
