After a stellar FIFA Women’s World Cup, the 21-year-old could be playing alongside a Matildas teammate.
Women, the 21-year-old is reportedly fielding offers from different clubs, including Sam Kerr’s WSL side, Chelsea.
UK publication, The Evening Standard, reports “the midfielder is keen to move on after the Swedish season ends in November.” Matildas midfielder Kyra Cooney Cross is in high demand from multiple clubs since the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.During the Matildas’ World Cup campaign, there were also whispers of a move to Everton, where fellow Aussie midfielder Clare Wheeler plays.
Having appeared at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in India, Cooney-Cross impressed at the FIFA Women’s World Cup to well and truly cement her spot in the heart of the Matildas’ midfield.
