A young girl has been given the ultimate gift by her sporting hero, Sam Kerr, while waiting two hours to catch a glimpse of the Matildas. 9News

Vienna said she wasn't sure at first if she would be able to keep the boots or if they were just for her to look at.Vienna said she didn't say anything when she was given the boots because she was "so shocked".Sam Kerr gave 11-year-old Vienna Gergely-Hollai her boots. She tried them on but they don't fit the eight-year-old just yet."It was just dream come true stuff for the girls. Their dream has been to meet Sam Kerr," the girls' father, Steven, said.

Eleven-year-old Vienna Gergely-Hollai was in a crowd of fans waiting for the team outside a hotel when Sam Kerr spotted the girl and handed over her prized Nike boots. " absolutely did not expect to get the boots and for her to come over and just hand it straight over to Vienna it was really amazing.""I felt so happy; it was just fabulous," she said.The Gergely-Hollai family are huge fans of the Matildas.

"It means the whole world to me and I've always wanted to have something of Sam Kerr's and it felt like Sam Kerr was my sister," Amalia said.
