MUN students, faculty and staff will have to wear masks again in classrooms and labs for the fall semester.

Masks are mandatory in Memorial University classrooms and laboratories beginning Thursday, Sept. 1. - ContributedST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Students, faculty and staff at Memorial University campuses will have to wear masks again in classrooms and laboratories for the fall semester.

The masking rules also apply to the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre, Health Services at Grenfell Campus and COVID-19 testing areas. The university does not require but strongly recommends wearing masks in all public spaces, offices, events and meetings.MUN also recommended that students or anyone on campuses complete a full vaccination series, including booster doses, if eligible.

Also, a COVID-19 testing clinic will be available on the St. John’s campus and will be open to all members of the university community by appointment.Students do not need to present a doctor's note for any missed classes, term exams or other tests due to COVID-19-related illness or symptoms.
