NSTnation: The oldest affected aircraft of this model in Malaysia Airlines fleet has a total of 18,362 flight cycles as of date.
In a statement issued today, it said the airline will adhere to the requirements by Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration in its maintenance programme and perform thorough inspections on its B737 aircraft at all times.
“The oldest affected aircraft of this model in Malaysia Airlines fleet has a total of 18,362 flight cycles as of date. MAS said this in response to the grounding of at least three Ryanair Boeing 737s due to cracks between the wing and fuselage.
