The former chief executive of the body charged with developing the site of a new AFL stadium on Hobart's waterfront was paid $246,000 in 'termination benefits' last year.
Mary Massina was appointed chief executive of the Macquarie Point Development Corporation in 2017 and departed in July 2022.
The MPDC annual report for 2022-2023 shows that in 2023, Ms Massina received $47,000 in salary, superannuation and other benefits, as well as $246,000 in "termination benefits". "Ms Massina has advised the Secretary of the Department of State Growth that, after five years in the role, a fresh set of eyes will help take the development through the next phase," the media release said.
