The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated International Women’s Day by reflecting on Mary, the model of womanhood and motherhood.
Asking those present whether their understanding of Mary had grown over the years, Deacon Lazarus invited them to re-examine the openness of their hearts and minds to God’s message and plan. He then spoke of how Mary’s life was dramatically changed after her “yes” to God, and how that “yes’ required her to have complete trust in God to help her through immense challenges.
