Health Minister Mark Butler is at the National Press Club and will speak about the government’s moves to ban recreational vaping.
He says just one in 10 health specialists use My Health Record and one-in-five diagnostic reports in radiology are uploaded. Butler wants this to change. He said the use of MyMedicare would be launched this year aimed at streamlining the Medicare Benefits Schedule, nearly 6000 items long, and patient care.
For example, he said about 13,000 patients with chronic and complex health conditions presented to hospitals at least 10 different times each year.
