President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. instructed the Department of Health (DOH) to prioritize healthier food options to tackle malnutrition and stunting among Filipinos. During a meeting with DOH executives at Malacañang, Marcos highlighted the need to improve coordination and consolidate efforts to avoid wasted resources.
He also emphasized the need to focus on the 34 priority areas identified by the Philippine Plan for Action for Nutrition (PPAN) across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, despite high levels of malnutrition even in more affluent regions.
