President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. significantly increased the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for public school teachers to PhP20,000 in 2024, marking a continued commitment to improving their financial benefits. The president also signed the Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act, increasing annual teaching allowances from P5,000 to P10,000.
In a groundbreaking gesture, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. demonstrated his commitment to uplifting public school teachers by granting full Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) worth PhP20,000 in 2024. From PhP15,000 in 2022 to PhP18,000 in 2023, it will now be PhP20,000 in 2024. We stand with the President in recognizing the sacrifices of our educators, who serve as second parents to our youth.” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. calls on legislators from both houses of Congress to continue working together with the executive branch to improve people’s lives and to craft laws based on foresight as he led the ceremonial signing at the Palace of the Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act which authorizes an increase in the annual teaching allowance for public school teachers from P5,000 to P10,000 beginning in school year 2025-2026.
