OPP charged the operator of a transport truck with careless driving
Bethany Cummings is still trying to come to terms with the narrow escape she had from a horrific collision on Highway 17 on Saturday.
Provincial police said the driver of the transport truck, whose vehicle went down an embankment and overturned, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She told TBnewswatch she was at Ripple Creek, between Terrace Bay and Marathon, when she came around a curve and saw the tractor-trailer approaching in her lane.
"I saw an opening in the windshield and started hitting it and making my way through to get out. Thankfully nobody else came up behind me and hit me," she said.
