When the student refused to move, Brock shoved him in the shoulder in the direction of the gym door.
A Maple Ridge teacher has been suspended for three days without pay after pushing and verbally abusing a student.
Brock has been a gym teacher since 2000, and in 2004 was given a “letter of expectation” after allegedly using profane language, tone of voice and gestures in class. The student “threw the ball overhand, when it rolled off his fingers and landed several feet from where Brock was standing,” according to the ruling.
Brock then went and stood very close to the student, while “maintaining a confrontational body stance.”
