Two minutes and four seconds. That's all it took for the Leafs to break open their game against the Sabres. (lukefoxjukebox)
February 26, 2019 The Maple Leafs’ fourth line appeared to handle the day’s Par Lindholm trade news just fine, with both Gauthier and Tyler Ennis hopping in on the second-period goal party. Call-up Trevor Moore, expected to get a long look this time, added an assist for his fourth point in just eight NHL games.
Buffalo’s power play did strike once more towards the end of the second period, when Sam Reinhart finished off a smooth passing sequence quarterbacked by Rasmus Dahlin, to give the visitors a breath of life for the final 20 minutes. Eichel’s solo effort to score nine seconds off puck drop in the third period closed the gap to one and made for a fun ride to the finish.
