Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren left Thursday’s game vs. the Boston Bruins with a lower-body injury.Liljegren not on the bench here to start the 2nd period.The incident occurred with less than a minute to go in the first period. Liljegren and Bruins’ forward Brad Marchand raced towards a loose puck in the Maple Leafs’ defensive zone, with Marchand getting tangled up with the defender, causing Liljegren’s left skate to crash into the boards and his head to bounce on the ice.
Timothy Liljegren has been helped down the tunnel and has left the game after this play against Boston.
