Evidence has shown the test cannot reliably predict current or future fertility in the general population, but the majority of websites analysed were found to be giving misleading information, such as that the test was a reliable predictor of fertility. "False and misleading claims about the usefulness of the AMH test undermine women's ability to make an informed decision," study co-author Dr Rachel Thompson said.
