Manor Independent School District announced Wednesday it will host a district-wide safety meeting following a fatal stabbing at Manor Senior High School last mo
The community meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Manor Early College High School's cafeteria at 14832 FM 973. It is strictly for families and staff who attend Manor Senior High School, Manor Early College High School, and Manor High School and is not open to the rest of the public.
District leaders will present updates on safety protocols across all Manor ISD campuses and hold an open forum for questions from families and staff. Representatives from Manor Senior High School, Manor Early College High School, and Manor High School will attend the meeting."This meeting is an opportunity for district leaders to share information about current safety practices, engage with the community for feedback, and address questions from families and community members," the district announcement said., including restricted entry points and metal detector screenings when students returned to classes last week.
Mac Brown Mbah Mbanwei, 18, remains in Travis County Jail on murder charges in connection with the incident.
