MANILA Third District Representative Joel Chua on Thursday, February 6, 2025, dismissed allegations that the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte before the House of Representatives was politically motivated.In a radio interview, Chua said VP Duterte’s impeachment went through a tedious process.“Ito naman po ay nasa proseso. Ito po naman ay nasa batas. Kaya, wala po akong nakikitang masama dito.
The House committee led by Chua conducted an inquiry on the alleged irregularities in the use of public funds of the Department of Education under VP Duterte from 2022 to 2024, and the Office of the Vice President .The probe uncovered alleged irregularities, including the misuse and illegal disbursement of P612.
