Alex Brewster runs the Living Liverpool Tour channel
Alex Brewster, a 41 year-old from Crosby, runs the Living Liverpool Tour channel on TikTok. Since uploading his video in early 2022, he has covered many parts of Liverpool’s history, from the sites of old prisons to why the Scotland Road area was once represented by an Irish Nationalist MP.
This thirst for knowledge stems from Alex’s dad, who used to share snippets from Liverpool’s history with him. “I guess my dad was pretty curious. When I’d be out with him, he'd be that guy pointing at stuff, saying, ‘oh this used to be this, you could do these things here.’” “That change happened in a matter of a few years. We don't know how it will change in five, ten years from now. It's that idea that there's all these interesting stories that are easy to lose.
