Cesar Hernandez shot dead by London police

Neighbours say police were frequently seen at Hernandez’s home, including on the day of his death, when the front door was padlocked after officers searched it. Furniture and other household items were strewn across the floor inside. The backyard was littered with renovation materials and garbage. While officers were closing nearby roads and evacuating homes, police were alerted that a person was taken to the hospital after being shot by the carjacking suspect, police said.
The woman, who asked that neither she nor her husband be identified, thought her husband was hurt doing renovations and didn’t realize he’d been shot in the head until a doctor at the hospital told her, she said.
