Elendu, 21, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Wright, 20. His lawyers, Derek Jugnauth and Matt Browne, have conceded he is guilty of manslaughter, but the prosecution is proceeding with his trial on the more serious charge. “I was very emotional, I was angry, I did not know what to expect, so I grabbed something in defence of anything that might happen,” he said of retrieving the sword.“I heard Kyreese tell Nathan, ‘go grab your guns, go grab your guns,’ ” he said.
