A 68-year-old man was injured and seven houses were razed in a fire in Muntinlupa before noon on Feb. 19.

According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the fire hit a house at 228 Solomon Compound in Barangay Buli at about 11:49 a.m. Fire in Barangay Buli, Muntinlupa on Feb. 19

The fire, which reached the first alarm at 11:53 a.m., razed seven houses, affecting 17 families. The blaze damaged P50,000 worth of properties. Authorities identified the injured as Hilario Solomon, 68, who suffered first degree burns on the right arm and nape. The fire was put under control at 12:25 p.m. and was put out at 1:01 p.m. A total of 14 fire trucks and four ambulances responded to the incident. This was the second fire in Muntinlupa in three days.
