UPDATE: Phoenix police say a man is in critical condition after a domestic dispute near an apartment complex near 52nd Street and Thomas Road led to an officer involved shooting. STORY:
Officers entered the complex through a courtyard where they say a man was standing in the second floor landing with a gun in his hand.
The man was given multiple commands from Phoenix police to drop the weapon. Police say that's when the officer involved shooting occurred. Afterward the man then walked into a nearby apartment. @PhoenixPolice are on the scene of an officer involved shooting in the area of 52nd Street and Thomas Road. Suspect is down. — Phoenix Police June 28, 2022 Police say the man was given more commands to step out. Officers then noticed the man was shot.A woman and two children were removed from the apartment.The condition of the person involved is not yet clear.
